Statewide – Roy Dean Film Grant – Deadline March 31 – Fee

Open for films that are unique and that make a contribution to society, the deadline for Roy W. Dean Film Grant for Spring is fast approaching.  All entries for the film grant for independent filmmakers must be submitted by March 31st 2021.

 

Sponsored by the non-profit From the Heart Productions, the Roy W. Dean Grant is now celebrating its 30th year.  Grant accepts submissions from documentary films, narrative feature films, short films, and web series budgeted under $500,000.

 

Winner will receive $3,500 cash and thousands more in film production services including 40% deduction on color, editing, and sound from ProMedia, and 30% discount in equipment rental from AbelCine Tech,Inc. NYC, an 8tb Glyph StudioRaid hard drive from Glyph Production Technologies, and much more from many heartfelt donors.

Unique among grants, each applicant is offered the opportunity for a 15-minute consultation.  Filmmakers can get advice on how to fund their film, build up a database of donors, market their film, and more.  It is a feature much appreciated by those who apply for the grant.
