Synopsis:
The Day Before Yesterday follows Sawyer, a young girl growing up in rural Alabama, who is coping with the loss of her older sister. Family dynamics between her mother and father are confronted, as her mother develops an obsessive disorder, distancing herself from her remaining daughter, while her father lives in a world of denial, choosing to live as if nothing has changed. Strange events unfold and ultimately Sawyer finds a dark way to deal with the loss.
Character Bio’s:

Sawyer is an independent young girl who is coping with the loss of her sister, and the distancing of her mother, who has become withdrawn from reality. She becomes attached to a bird, which runs into the window of their house. There is confrontation with the mother and Sawyer eventually kills the bird, ending the film.

Charlotte is coping with the loss of her oldest child. She has developed stronger symptoms of obsessive, compulsive disorder. She acts in a quick, nervous manner. Her marriage is declining and she no longer acts as a mother towards Sawyer.

Mark is the father to Sawyer. He is in a state of denial about the death of his oldest daughter, the state of his wife and the decline of his marriage. He lives his life like nothing has changed.
[LILY] [FEMALE] [AGE: 6-7] [BRIEF ROLE]
Lily is the oldest sister to Sawyer. She is only briefly seen in a flashback, but exhibits a kind, happy demeanor.
