SEEKING:
[DEV] – 25 to 35 years old, South Asian Man
Charismatic yet plagued by self-doubt, Dev fears falling short of expectations upon an anticipated face-to-face meeting. Son to immigrant parents, he is caught between the image his mother projects onto him and who he truly is. Dev struggles with feeling inadequate and doubts his self-worth. Not a morning person he often starts his day with a cup of coffee, he also enjoys karaoke in order to unwind.

*English speaking role, and preferably has a familiarity with Telugu or Hindi. Must have a valid driver’s license.
[MAI] -25 to 35 years old, Asian Woman
A contemplative introvert with a history of heartbreak, Mai is determined to make things work this time around. However, the specter of past failed relationships lingers, casting shadows of doubt about the viability of their long-distance connection. Unwittingly, she erects emotional barriers, inadvertently pushing her partner away in the process. Mai looks after those around her and enjoys cooking for others in her free time.

[DEV’S MOM] – 45-55 years old, South Asian Woman
Beneath her traditional exterior beats a heart that fiercely loves, though she often expresses it through unsolicited advice and guilt trips. Nervous about Dev always, she thinks that he should prioritize his health and well-being over romantic relationships. Inadvertently emotionally distant, but she truly wants the best for Dev.

[MAI’S SISTER] – 35 to 39 years old, Asian Woman
Older sister to Mai. With their gap in age and having her own family and kids, she acts as a mentor figure to Mai and pushes her to do things outside of her comfort zone. She is strongly influenced by Asian culture due to her grandparents and parents, but embraces more Westernized views regarding relationships which she often shares with Mai.
