STORYLINE: Two Animal Control Officers respond to an “injured horse” call, only to find no trace of the horse and an unconscious stableman.  Upon regaining consciousness the stableman is seemly more horse than human.

NOTE:

PLEASE BE AWARE THESE ROLES REQUIRE ATHLETICISM & PHYSICAL NIMBLENESS.  ACTORS WILL NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE RUNNING, GALLOPING, STUMBLING, ROLLING & CRAWLING.  IF CALLED TO AUDITION, AN IN-DEPTH DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTION WILL BE SENT ALONG WITH THE SCRIPT AND SIDES.

SEEKING:

IVERS: Any Ethnicity, Male, early 20s. First day on the job as a junior animal control officer. Bright-eyed, physically fit, loves animals and the outdoors.  Loaded with common sense, excellent training and a can do attitude – IVERS is eager to please his new boss and jump into what he thinks is his dream job. There is no way to prepare for the mayhem that his first day brings, including his boss’ unappealing milk drenched mustache, an accidental tranquilization, and macabre rituals.

Stunt and physical theatre experience a plus!

Shoots 3 days $175/shoot day

HAYNES: Any Ethnicity, Male, mid 40s. Habitual milk drinker with an impressive mustache.  Once in top shape, Senior Office Haynes enjoys his animal control work a little too much, having seen and killed it all.  Usually making snap judgments in favor of putting any animal in question down. Wise yet misguided, better at reading animals than humans. On this first day with his newbie partner, HAYNES is feeling the need to teach him a thing or two.

Beer belly a plus. Stunt and physical theatre experience a plus!

Shoots 3 days $175/shoot day

MUSTANG: Any Ethnicity, Male, 20 to 53 in human years or 4 to 17 in horse years.  Mane like hair, with a full beard. Mustang has spent his whole life on his family’s farm, mostly in the stables and prefers it that way. With no one left on the farm except himself and the horses, he has become as wild-spirited as the animals that surround him.  Has recently discovered that horse tranquilizers allow him to fully embody his horse alter ego.

Ability to gallop, neigh, nicker, and graze a plus!

Must be comfortable in chaps that expose the backside only, i.e. assless chaps.

Stunt and physical theatre experience a plus!

Shoots 3 days $200/shoot day
