Stuck at Home 48

COVID-19 Quarantine Blues got you down? We got you! For filmmakers who are looking for a creative outlet in these uncertain times, we have the Stuck at Home 48! This is a filmmaking competition open to any filmmaker around the world. On Friday night, you will receive a secret challenge. You and those in your home, with the equipment you have will have 48 hours to brainstorm, write and shoot a short film and upload it to the 48HFP Facebook page.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Everyone!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The Stuck at Home 48 is free for everyone!

WHERE DO WE SHOOT?

The permitted locations for this project are simple. Your home. Footage shot in public space or common space is prohibited.

WHEN DO WE SHOOT?

We will have three Stuck at Home 48 Film Challenges on the following weekends:

  • March 27-29, 2020
  • April 3-5, 2020
  • April 17-19, 2020

There will be a different secret challenge for each weekend. Register once, participate in all!

OTHER STUFF

You may collaborate virtually! Your screenwriter may be someone from halfway around the world if you so choose!

The Kickoff and Dropoff will be conducted online and via e-mail.

Going a little stir crazy while stuck at home? Why not channel that excess energy into a creative endeavor… fun movie making experiments that can be done wherever you are sheltered in place by yourself or whoever you live with! Remember, our utmost concern is to ensure the health and safety of our filmmakers. This is an optional Project that provides our community with a creative outlet and a way to prepare for our regular 48HFP which we hope we are able to bring you as scheduled this summer.

For complete rules and information and to register your team, go HERE. More questions? Join us on Wednesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at Richmond 48 Hour Film Project via Facebook Live for a Q&A with your city producer, Lisa Giles.

The fun begins this weekend. Virtually.
