We are seeking an experienced Background Casting Assistant for a major cable mini-series set to shoot in the Richmond, VA area on or about 7/17/19. We are looking for an outgoing individual who will have no problem recruiting talent in the field and making cold calls to spread the word about our project. Duties will include:

• Disseminate accurate booking information and details to background actors under the guidance and direction of casting director.
• Recruiting talent and conducting local outreach.
• Troubleshooting on mornings of productions, replacing talent on short notice under time-sensitive conditions.
• Checking nightly confirmations, scheduling fittings and digital imaging management.

MUST be able to multi-task with a strong attention to detail and work well in a team environment. Candidates must be able to work as a local hire in Richmond, bring their own laptop to work, handle busy phones, schedule actors in a pleasant and professional manner, as well as, be able to adapt quickly to working in a fast-paced environment.

The start date currently is 6/26/19 and as of right now will end at the beginning of November. The hours will vary, and may include some nights and weekends so an open schedule is also a plus. You must be well versed with google docs, creating spreadsheets, social media content creation and marketing.
