Casting for a short student film shooting in Richmond, VA this month. Looking for actors and actresses who want to build their reel and collaborate closely with a student director through the month. We will be doing several short rehearsals and shoot days based on availability, and preferably looking for people with flexible schedules this month!

Logline: When a young woman in high school finds out that she is pregnant after a sexual assault, she elicits the help of her best friend to get an abortion while harboring a deep secret.

NIV (18+ to play 16, South Asian/Middle Eastern/Ethnically Ambiguous): Smart, loyal, and determined. Niv is a straight-A student and high achieving. She puts a lot of pressure on herself and gets anxious when things don’t go to plan. She would do anything to protect her future and the people she loves.

REECE (18+ to play 16, Open Ethnicity): Witty, spontaneous, and caring. Reece uses humor as a shield. She is confused about life in general, whether that be her future or her sexuality. She tries to do what she thinks is best, but can’t always handle the truth.

THOMAS (20s to play 18, Open Ethnicity): Reece’s older brother, a senior in high school. Charming when you meet him, and has a kind demeanor. He can’t confront the reality of his actions and decisions.

There will be no intimacy scenes, however actors must be comfortable discussing the topic of sexual assault.
