The Virginia-filmed feature Burning Sands will have its Virginia premiere March 8th at 6:30 pm at VSU’s Virginia Hall.
Burning Sands screened at the Sundance Film Festival and is an unflinching look at fraternities, pledging and the cultures of hazing. The film takes you through the journey of one pledge torn between honoring a code of silence or standing up against the intensifying violence of underground hazing. Starting Trevor Jackson, Alfre Woodard, Steve Harris, Tosin Cole, DeRon Horton and Moonlight’s Trevante Rhodes, Burning Sands is an experience that can’t be missed.
The screening is open and free to the public, so come and give some hometown love and support for this amazing film!
