Richmond – Auditioning for film and television workshop – June 24th – Free with RSVP

Richmond Film Network Cinema Collective presents

COMMAND THE FRAME: AUDITIONING FOR FILM & TELEVISION
with Jaclyn Vames, award-winning filmmaker

Designed for actors looking to strengthen their film and television audition skills, this interactive workshop explores both the artistic and technical sides of performing for the camera. Participants will learn how framing, eyelines, camera angles, and shot sizes influence performance, while developing strategies for delivering authentic, compelling auditions on screen.

Whether you’re transitioning from stage to screen or looking to sharpen your self-tape technique, this workshop will provide practical tools to help you feel more confident in front of the camera and make stronger impressions with casting directors.

Time permitting, attendees with an audition to film are welcome to bring their script and smartphone for brief self-tape coaching and feedback. A basic self-tape setup—including lighting, sound, and framing equipment—will be demonstrated during the workshop.

Date and Time: Wednesday, June 24 @ 6-8 p.m.

Location: The Hof, 2818 W. Broad St., Richmond

Tickets: FREE RSVP
