STORYLINE: After feeling abandoned for what feels like decades, a young man has a thirst for revenge and begins stalking a girl.

SEEKING:

[GREGORY ABERNATHY] 40s, Male. Gregory has recently lost his wife and is now even less available for his daughter Penelope than when her mother was alive. He is a weasel full of secrets and affairs including an unacknowledged son he fathered years ago while cheating on his wife. The successful coverup of his son’s existence is threatened after this now adult son finds him via a DNA search. This is no happy reunion for Gregory or his son Simon who is looking for his mother, answers and revenge. Gregory is scared shitless and ill equipped on every level. He lives in a constant state of chaos and dishevelment. He miscalculates the wrath Simon feels from his abandonment.

Shoots 1 day – $150/day – March 13th & 14th, 2021

Must be comfortable smoking. From the exterior we see Gregory alone in his car, due to Covid-19 protocols, please note if you might be willing and able to provide your own car for this scene.

[SIMON] Early 20s, Male. An abandoned son who’s thirsty for revenge. Simon’s slight build belies his ability to be a physical threat. Having aged out of the foster care system Simon is on his own, feeling lost and unloved. Simon is determined to find out who his mother is by having an encounter with his father who he recently found and met. Simon exudes a creepy vibe. He is a loner by circumstance, this rejection leaves him broken inside and thinking irrationally. Simon begins a viscous new hobby: Stalking. Filled with rage and anger, he sets out to do the unexplainable.

Shoots 2 days – $200/day – March 13th & 14th, 2021 – All scenes will be shot outdoors.

Must be comfortable holding a prop switchblade. Must be comfortable with lots of speed walking/running.

[PENELOPE] Early 20s, Female. Penelope has recently lost her mother whom she was much closer to than her irresponsible ne’er do well father. Sadness consumes her as she visits her mother’s grave for her birthday. Penelope’s mother always saw to it that she was well taken care of including a posthumous trust fund. Fashionable and well presented, Penelope is still hoping to make her mother proud. Penelope does not realize she is part of a gothic family drama, terrified by the person she senses is following her at the cemetery she taps her inner survival strength and takes her destiny in her own hands.

Shoots 1 day – $150/day – March 13th & 14th, 2021 – All scenes will be shot outdoors.

Must be comfortable wearing and walking quickly in heels/wedges.

THE BALLAD OF DALE AND TERRY

Director: Emily Wilson-Quayle

Producer: Georgia Shore

Writer: Lillian Price

Casting Associates: Georgia Shore & Alexa Lushetsky

STORYLINE:

What secrets lurk in Dale’s suburban neighbor’s home? Only those that are created by Dale’s delusional need to find them.

SEEKING:

[DALE] Late 30s, Male. Always been a little out-there, Dale finds it hard to make friends or maintain a romantic relationship. Geeky, nerdy, dorky, frankly Dale’s a bit of a loser. He left his successful IT job to pursue his dream of writing for a newspaper, instead…four years after getting his foot in the door at the paper as a paid intern, he is still the intern. Thinks he is way better at everything than he actually is, but he’s only confident when alone. Having always had an active imagination Dale is not aware this epic “imagination’ has progressed to a state of delusions and hallucinations. Physically he would never be capable of being the gumshoe report he thinks himself to be. A personality only a mother could love.

Shoots 2 days – $200/day – March 20th & 21st, 2021 – All scenes will be shot outdoors.

[TERRY] Mid 40s, White Male. Lanky and incredibly awkward with perpetually stained clothes. Terry is a stay-at-home accountant and father. He doing his best to raise his 17yr old feisty daughter. He always looks apologetic, nervous, and like he just touched something really gross. The kind of guy who would apologize to a mannequin if he bumped it. Pathetic in an endearing way. Doesn’t have many friends, but that only bothers him sometimes. He is super supportive of his soon to be ex-wife Lynn, they will always be friends and good co-parents of Sidney. Terry really tries to find the best in people, even his very odd next door neighbor Dale. He is polite and sweet with a wonderfully slight southern accent.

Shoots 2 days – $200/day – March 20th & 21st, 2021 – All scenes will be shot outdoors.

[SIDNEY] 18+ to play 17yrs. White or Mixed Race. Sidney is going through an edgy, rebellious phase. An only child in every sense, a bit of a diva and a drama queen, and doesn’t take no for an answer. She tires her hardest to come across as a tough mean spirited girl. She is in the middle of one of her many teenage phases, this time it’s modern grunge. She thinks the world revolves around her and Terry treats her that way. Her parents’ divorce is really hard on her, but she would never admit that. She is very creeped out by her weirdo neighbor Dale and thinks he’s a peeper.

Shoots 2 days – $200/day – March 20th & 21st, 2021 – All scenes will be shot outdoors.
