“Breathe”
Directors: Kenneth Nguyen and Jaden Annan
Logline: Kieran, a young man grappling with the recent death of a family member, finds himself struggling to navigate his grief after the funeral. While coming to terms with his own feelings, he must also bear his father’s anger and his sister’s innocence, hoping to somehow find a way to cope with the overwhelming loss.

We are looking for the following role:  Mother (30s-50s)(African American): Kieran’s mother is overwhelmed with grief. Her mascara is messy from crying, and she struggles to keep the family together. She is caring and nurturing, but her own sorrow makes it difficult for her to manage the household dynamics.

Non-Union student short film shooting in November in the Charlottesville area. No travel/transport/housing provided. Unpaid, but access to the film for reels + submission of the film to festivals is provided.
