WJLA-TVis seeking a Web Editor to join their digital team! The successful candidate will assist in the production of written and multimedia news content for WJLA.com. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, gathering news updates from reporters in the field, writing articles, headlines, teases and push alerts, producing video clips and graphic elements, implementing engagement features, managing social media and managing the homepage.

Experience: 

The ideal candidate will possess strong news judgment, attention to detail, copy editing skills, familiarity with content management systems, familiarity with the Adobe software suite and a strong knowledge of how to reach out to a large audience on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Above all, though, we are looking for a driven, creative candidate who works well under pressure and has a keen eye on the future of digital journalism.  Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Qualifications Include:

-College degree or minimum one (1) year relative experience in the field

-Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment

-Must be flexible with schedule, weekend, evening and holiday shifts may be required
