Washington, D.C. – Introduction to Screenwriting Course at GWU — Fees

Introduction to Screenwriting, an affordable six-week class, is being offered by Georgetown University’s Center for Continuing and Professional Education on our campus at 640 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, September 10 – October 15.

Classes will be held in person and are being taught by Kevin Downs, a filmmaker/writer/educator with extensive professional experience working alongside Academy, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winning producers, directors and recording artists.  Kevin holds an MFA from New York University’s prestigious Department of Film and Television.  He has optioned four screenplays for theatrical film and is the winner of awards and fellowships from the Louis B. Mayer Foundation, the International Telly Awards, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and World-Fest Houston.  Many of Kevin’s former students are now working professionals at such established companies as DreamWorks, Showtime, and ESPN.
