Docs In Progress is now accepting submissions of documentaries about local people, places, history, and happenings. If you have a documentary produced within the past two years which spotlights people, places, history or happenings in Maryland, Washington DC, or Northern Virginia, consider submitting. The final deadline to submit is August 31.
We are particularly interested in short documentaries (2-20 minutes), but will accept submissions of any length. Films must have been produced within the past five years, and there is no premiere requirement. Submission of films which meet our geographic focus is free if you use the following waiver code CSMOCO2016 when you submit on Film Freeway.

ABOUT COMMUNITY STORIES
Docs In Progress is proud to be based in a diverse, vibrant, and historic community. We also believe in the power of documentary to bring community together. Since 2010, our annual Community Stories Festival highlights the stories of people, places, and events from our local community. The festival is open to the public and gives local residents a chance to learn more about their communities and meet many of the filmmakers and people featured in the films. The four day festival takes place at venues in Montgomery County, Maryland.
