Virginia – Bike Shorts Film Festival – Deadline March 31

The Bike Shorts Film Festival celebrates bikes, bike culture, and bike people with short films that have something, anything, to do with bicycles.

The festival is part of the series of events that RIDE Solutions puts on each spring to celebrating National Bike Month in Central and Southwest Virginia.  It is the longest-running, locally-focused film festival in the region, with a goal of having at least half the total screen time come from filmmakers in and around the region.

The festival is currently accepting submissions until March 31st.  While they prefer narrative works over tour videos or documentary-style movies, as long as a bike is included, they will consider it for screening.

The festival will have its premiere screening at the historic Grandin Theatre in Roanoke on April 28th, with screenings to follow at The Lyric Theatre in Blacksburg, the Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge, the Rives Theatre in Martinsville, and the Academy Center of the Arts in Lynchburg.
