Position: Multimedia Services Coordinator

The City of Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced, creative, innovative and technically savvy multimedia production professional to lead the Multimedia Services Division for the City of Virginia Beach and the Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Reporting to the Director of the Communications Office, the Multimedia Services Manager guides the development and management of video communication staff and resources to tell compelling stories, produce high quality special projects, effectively program the government access channels and ensure reliable service delivery systems for live streaming, cablecasting and other support for live and recorded meetings and events.

The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates an ability to effectively concept, create, edit and implement video/photography programs, campaigns and strategies for specific projects and target audiences. He/she should have experience and skills to instruct and support a professional staff, analyze and make recommendations for technical and service requirements, develop and manage operating and capital budgets, and stay abreast of trends to help guide the development of the division. The candidate must be a highly-motivated self-starter committed to delivering high quality solutions within agreed upon timelines and budgets. This position is currently open until filled.
