Virginia Beach – Regent University seeking assistant professor of Cinema – july 1 2020 – Paid

Regent University’s School of Communication & the Arts is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach campus.

Qualifications: an earned PhD or MFA in film or television from a regionally accredited institution. Experience in the discipline is preferred. The successful candidate will have teaching experience in film and television production on both the undergrad and graduate levels and be able to situate film and television programming into wider cultural, industrial, economic and spiritual contexts.

Expectations include: 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3) the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in directing and cinematography; and 4) a willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and subscribe to a statement of Christian faith.
