Synopsis: A socially-isolating office personality is transformed through a series of confrontations that lead him to realize his pride has stolen his sense of humanity.

 

 

CAST NEEDED:

Berger:

A man of obtuse, cringy social know-how and fashion sense, is well on his way to being the most hated man in the company, all within his first few days of employment.

Male, white, age of appearance: mid-30s

 

Mr. Duck:

Has led corporate teams for long enough to know that if Berger can’t radically change soon, he’ll have to fire him as soon as he’s hired him.

Male, white, 50s-60s, preferably British/has been trained to speak with a British accent

 

Dora:

A woman of tact and sassy verbosity, like everyone else, isn’t fond of Berger, but unlike everyone else, sees and does what she must, to set him straight.

Female, black, 40s-50s

 

Terry:

Berger’s cubicle-mate. Berger sees him as his best friend, while Terry can barely stand him sharing the same office rug as the office clown.

Male, any ethnicity, 30s-40s

 

Sal:
Berger’s office coworker who resents him at first, but has a change of heart.

Male, any ethnicity, 30s-40s

 

Janice:

Berger’s office coworker who trips in front of Berger, is a “bigger” woman in the office that makes Berger look scrawny.

Female, any ethnicity, 25-40

Sarah:

The one lovely lady in the office that catches Berger’s eye.

Female, any ethnicity, late 20s-early 30s

 

Rick:
A homeless man that Berger meets, that is a small part of Berger’s changed heart.

Male: any ethnicity, 50s-60s
