Submit Your Film to the 32nd Annual Virginia Film Festival Today!
Filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation, virtual reality, and experimental projects. Each year, the VAFF brings in a fascinating selection of guests, from internationally acclaimed directors and actors to professors and leading cultural experts who lead discussions that stimulate, educate, and engage. Accepted films will be eligible for category-specific awards, including the Programmer’s Awards, Audience Awards for which moviegoers vote via ballots, and Commonwealth Awards for Best Virginia Feature Film and Best Virginia Short Film.
The regular submission deadline is June 10, 2019 with an extended deadline to submit on July 15, 2019. Virginia residents (including students at VA schools) are eligible to have their entry fee waived. In order to receive the VA resident fee waiver, the street address you list in your submission must be in Virginia, and you must enter the waiver code 2019VA32VAFFresident when you complete your submission on FilmFreeway.
