Submit Your Film to the 35th Annual Virginia Film Festival Today!
Filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit new narrative and documentary features, short films, and independent and international projects across all genres. Every Fall, the VAFF brings in a fascinating selection of guests, from internationally acclaimed directors and actors to professors and leading cultural experts, who lead discussions that stimulate, educate, and engage. Accepted films will be eligible for category-specific awards, including our Programmer’s Awards and our Audience Awards for which moviegoers vote via ballots.
The early bird submission deadline is June 6, 2022, and regular submission deadline is June 27, 2022. Virginia residents (including students at VA schools) are eligible to have their entry fee waived. In order to receive the VA resident fee waiver, the street address you list in your submission must be in Virginia, and you must enter the waiver code 2022VA35FFVAresident when you complete your submission on FilmFreeway.
