Statewide – Roy W. Dean Film Grant accepting applications – march 31 deadline – fee

If you are an independent filmmaker needing help completing your film, the Roy W. Dean Film Grant for Spring 2020 is now accepting submissions.  The Roy W. Dean Film Grant, now in its 28th year, is awarded to a unique film that makes a contribution to society.  Winner will receive $3,500 cash and $23,000 in film production services.  Deadline for submission is March 31st.

 

All Filmmakers Who Apply to Grant Get Free Consultation

 

From the Heart Productions, the top-rated non-profit sponsoring the grant, offers each grant applicant a 15-minute consultation.  Filmmakers can get advice on how to fund their film, build up a database of donors, market their film, and more.  The Roy W. Dean Film Grant is open to documentaries, short films, narrative features, and web series.  Students can apply as well.  Projects must be budgeted under $500K.

 

In addition to the  $3,500 cash prize, winner will receive donations including 40% deduction on color, editing, and sound from ProMedia, and 30% discount in equipment rental from AbelCine Tech,Inc. NYC, $500 in expendables from Filmtools, $600.00 for your Free Closed Captioning by NetCaptioning, and much more from many heartfelt donors.
