Statewide – Roy W. Dean Film Grant accepting applications – deadline april 30 – fee

For indie filmmakers that need help starting or completing their film, the Spring 2019 Roy W. Dean Film Grant is now accepting submissions.  Celebrating its 27th year, the Roy W. Dean Film Grant is awarded to a unique film that contributes to society.  Winner will receive $3,500 cash and $30,000 in film production services to shoot and finish their project.  Deadline for submission is April 30th, 2019.

 

Every filmmaker receives a free consultation on their project

 

Sponsored by top rated non-profit From the Heart Productions, each applicant receives a 15-minute consultation offering advice on funding, improving, or completing their film.  The Roy W. Dean Grant is open to documentaries, short films, features, or web series.  Students can apply as well.  Projects must be budgeted under $500K. 

 

The $3,500 cash prize is supplemented by donations such as from 40% deduction on color, editing, and sound from ProMedia, and 30% discount in equipment rental from AbelCine Tech,Inc. NYC, $500 in expendables from Filmtools, $600.00 for your Free Closed Captioning by NetCaptioning, and much more from many heartfelt donors
