Richmond – Virginia Production Alliance Mad Skillz event – July 23rd – registration fee

Mad Skillz, the Songwriter, Producer, Rapper, DJ, Music Video Artist, and University of Richmond Artist-in-Residence, is now a documentarian and filmmaker.  Join us in discussing the film Mad Skillz and the 90s Girl Brunch with the man himself on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at Richmond’s Visual Arts Center on Main Street in the Fan.

90s Girl Brunch (2024) documents Mad Skillz’s efforts during the COVID shutdowns to build an online community celebrating and connecting music lovers.  Mad Skillz is a pioneer in the hip-hop world who has worked with Timbaland, Jazzy Jeff, Will Smith, and Missy Elliot.  He also created the show Hip-Hop Confessions.  Join us and learn more about his film and efforts to use film and music to connect all people.
