JAVIER: Any Ethnicity, Male: 12/13yrs old. Javier is a sweet, optimistic young boy who tends to see the light in life. He is sensible and rational, even tending toward timid and cautious. The one person Javier can always count on to have fun with is his best friend Connor.

CONNOR: Any Ethnicity, Male 12/13 yrs old. Connor is outgoing and naive, he likes to take things as they come and is a bit of a wild child. He is clever and witty, but reckless. His best frien d, Javier keeps him grounded and out of trouble.

MARIA: Any Ethnicity, Female. Early-mid 30s. Javier’s mother. A young single mother, trying to give Javier the support he needs. They’ve practically raised each other. She is a good mother, but is constantly strapped for time and funds, meaning Javier is frequently on his own.

REALITY BITES
CHARLOTTE: Any Ethnicity, Female. Mid-late teens. Charlotte is fascinated and curious by virtual reality and the possibility of an alternate world to her own. Exploring this space is fast becoming a means to escape her parents constant fighting, drawing her further and further away from them, finding solace in the alternate versions of her parents she has created. No matter how difficult, Charlotte comes to realize, fantasy worlds are hollow.

MICHELLE REAL: Any Ethnicity, Female. 40-50yrs. Charlotte’s mother. Her high powered job leaves her tired, yet she is more worn down by her troubled relationship. She is just trying to get through each day, very aware of the effects her stra ined marriage is having on their daughter. Doing the best she can. Pained over the loss of quality time with her daughter. VR version of MICHELLE: the same, yet so different. Chipper, but robotic. Calculated. Dotes on Charlotte in a superficial manner. Stepford-like.

TOM REAL: Any Ethnicity, Male. 40-50yrs. Charlotte’s father. His sad disposition is a juxtaposition to hopeful and loving face. A blue-collar man who cares about his family and is earnestly wanting them to spend quality time together despite their differences. Kind and nurturing, he fears the end of his marriage and its’ effects on his wife and daughter.
VR version of TOM: the same, yet so different. Chipper, but robotic. Calculated. Dotes on Charlotte in a superficial manner. Stepford-like.

EDDIE: Any Ethnicity, Male. Mid twenties. Immature. Un usually tall and lanky. Awkward. Guarded, and slow to show emotion. Extremely well groomed and fastidious in his appearance. Not the typical sociopathic killer. Inspired by Annie’s ability to challenge him. Stunt experience a plus.

ANNIE: Any Ethnicity, Female. 20s. More mature than Eddie. Graceful and naturally beautiful. Charming, seductive, dangerous. Moves with confidence, almost flowing. Sure of who she is and what she wants, for good or evil. Does not give up easily. Stunt experience a plus.
