There’s still time to join the fun and make a movie with the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project this summer!
If you’re interested in joining a team, or are a team who still needs to recruit cast or crew, meet us at The Camel, 1621 W. Broad St. on Wednesday, June 28 from 5-6:30 p.m., and find your next collaborator!
The Challenge: Write, shoot and edit a short film in 48 hours given a required character, prop, line of dialogue and genre that you receive moments before the clock starts!
The Weekend: July 14-16
The 48 is the largest filmmaking competition in the world! Each year, over 100 cities across the globe take part in this challenging and exhilarating event that allows you to experience the thrill of competition in extraordinary circumstances, collaborate with other creatives, learn how to problem solve, and make new friends!
Twenty teams have already committed to this annual Richmond tradition now in its 17th year! Win awards, prizes and… the Best Film moves on to compete against the world at Filmapalooza, our global film festival, which will be held in Lisbon, Portugal in March 2024!
