Richmond – Creative producer needed for production company – Part-Time – Paid

Orange Frame Productions creates nonfiction content, from PBS documentaries to immersive museum exhibits. We’re based in Richmond, VA and hiring a remote Creative Producer to guide projects from first idea to final delivery. You’ll work across topics in history, science, and art, seeing projects through from pitch to premiere.

SCHEDULE: Part-Time employee position, approx. 20 to 30 hours per week, remote.

PAY RANGE: $32 to $38 per hour, depending on experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Work with the Owner and Executive Producer to secure new contracts and funding for projects
  • Pitch original project ideas and help shape Orange Frame’s creative direction
  • Research and develop ideas (historical, scientific, and more) for projects in development
  • Write proposals and treatments for documentaries and exhibits
  • Manage projects and help oversee overall company workflow
  • Build and maintain client relationships, including regular check-ins on logistics and deliverables
  • Give helpful, constructive and creative feedback to our crew
  • Handle logistics: crew sourcing, travel, budgets, and timelines

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience producing nonfiction content
  • Experience producing and delivering projects to PBS stations
  • Track record leading teams, hiring crew, and managing nonfiction projects start to finish
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and flexibility as priorities shift
  • Willingness to learn and work across both documentary and museum exhibit projects, even if you’re new to one of them
  • Collaborative, kind, and positive leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Suite
