MA: Ma is a story about a Japanese family forced to live in an incarceration camp during WWII in 1944. This drama follows Haruki, Taira, and their son George as they navigate being a family burdened with the trauma of war.

[TAIRA] Late 20’s, male, Japanese. Dapper, and up beat, with an adventurous spirit, Taira was a photographer before he and his family were imprisoned in the incarceration camps, but always finds a chance to continue with his art. Tries to keep up the light, hope, and joy for his family in such a dark place. Knowledge and love of baseball would be great. Shoots Three (3) days – $250.00 per day – July 12th, 13th &14th, 2022

[HARUKI] Late 20’s, female, Japanese. Sensitive, graceful, and stoic with a hidden humor. Haruki is an artist who uses flower arranging to express herself while being imprisoned in the incarceration camp. She’s protective of her family, and also knows they are being wronged and isn’t afraid to make others realize that. Knowledge of/experience with Ikebana/Kado would be great. Shoots Three (3) days – $250.00 per day – July 12th, 13th &14th, 2022

[GEORGE] 8-12 years old, male, Japanese. George is energetic, curious, and determined, with a mischievous streak. He has inherited his father’s love of baseball.  A familiarity with baseball is helpful. Shoots Three (3) days – $175.00 per day – July 12th, 13th & 14th, 2022

[PFC William Harlow] 18 to 22 years old, white male. Respectful, but young and clueless about how he makes the others feel – and how he could be in the wrong. Speaks with a Southern drawl. Handles a prop firearm. SUPPORTING

Shoots Two (2) days – $250/day – between July 12th, 13th & 14th, 2022.
