Hi! We’re looking to cast 4 actors for a short Dramedy, shooting in Richmond, VA. The film follows exes, Riley and Jade, who find themselves on the same double date two years after their brutal breakup. We are accepting self tapes until August 30th for all roles. *We have a very small budget so payment will be $50 a day for each actor; we will also provide you with food on set, any footage for your reels and some free headshots if you want em!
For now, here’s a snapshot of the available roles:
Riley- Ages, 22-28, Feminine presenting, queer woman ( Main Cast):
She is a curator’s assistant at a local gallery. She is self assured, super career oriented and strong willed, sometimes at the detriment of the people she cares about. She is the ex partner of Jade and the current partner of Mariah.
*Riley is needed both shoot days
Jade- Ages, 22-28, Masculine Presenting, queer woman ( Main Cast):
She works in a music store while she writes an album. She’s nonchalant about most things but always prioritizes her relationships. She’s a bit of a cynic (but working on it). She’s usually at least 5 minutes late. She is the ex partner of Riley and the current partner of Allie.
*Jade is needed both shoot days
Mariah- Ages, 22-30, Feminine Presenting, queer woman ( Supporting):
She is a successful social media and marketing manager for an art gallery. She is extremely competitive, very blunt and has a biting sense of humor. She is deeply entertained by drama. Her and Riley have been dating for 2 months.
*Mariah is needed only on October 12th!
Allie- Ages, 22-28, Feminine Presenting, queer woman ( Supporting):
She is a yoga teacher at a local studio. She is very upbeat, most would call her a hippy. She has a clingy yet very maternal way about her, but can tend to be a bit ditzy, letting jokes or criticisms fly over her head. She values communication and positive thinking and she has a tendency to therapize people. She has been dating Jade for 3 months.
*Allie is needed only on October 12th!
