Storyline: When Glenda – a store cashier – discovers a winning lottery ticket, she’s morally conflicted as to what to do with it. But when the news gets out, the lives of a diverse group of characters – including Aaron, twin brother of the clumsy domestic terrorist (now-deceased) who bought the ticket – intersect in unexpected ways as they navigate greed, faith, and redemption.

[RENEE] late 40s white woman, a treasure with a sharp tongue and a rockin body. The brains of any operation. We wonder why she’s with her boyfriend Atlee. Witty and crass. Sex is her love language and she’s always in control. If she had any better opportunities, she’d take them. Dresses like a stripper… because she’s a stripper. A mother hen, not afraid to grab a man or presumptuous boy by the balls.

[RUSH] 14 year old white boy, a total know it all, foul-mouthed redneck. The pre pubescent side of 14. Rush dresses like he loves hip hop, but hates anyone who’s not white. He is ignorant with no boundaries or good role models. Youtube is his Sensei. Rush has lucked into an adult in need of a sidekick who is sadly equally stupid. Delighted to be living out his own version of Ocean’s Eleven with someone else’s money and tools. His belligerent attitude is impressive. Is it all a facade for the young 14 year old kid that has had to raise himself due to unenlightened parenting? His hustle could be promising with a little guidance and education.

[Ms. MARION BAGLEY ] 70s black woman. Lovely Church crown wearing Bible study leader. Rational, down to earth. Not convinced about the Reverend’s motives but is not rocking that boat yet. Happy for her friend Glenda but is a bit preachy and opinionated by the moral gauntlet Glenda is putting herself through. Marion is adept at using Bible passages to justify an easier path.

Pursuing her MBA at night. She has never met anyone like Glenda before and is fascinated by Glenda’s selflessness.

[NADJI] – mid 20s Middle Eastern Woman. Wears a head scarf and has a serious social media habit. If it’s happening she is posting about it real time. The Big Box Home Improvement store she works at is usually good material, but with Glenda’s latest crazy story she is hoping to go viral. Slight accent a plus.

[KATHERINE] mid 30s black woman. Office Manager at Bert’s law firm. Witty and smart, she can say so much just with a slight cock of her head. She puts up with Bert for now, but looks forward to when she can really put that UVA degree to good use. Bemused by “Big Joe’s” antics and keeps the fact that she and Joe went to UVA together under wraps.

[ABBAD] 60s South Asian Male. Well dressed convenience store owner who works the cash register while animatedly carrying on a hands free earpiece conversation in Punjabi or Gujarati. He knows his customers and their habits, right down to their preferred Lottery tickets. Not intimidated by anyone, he has seen it all and lived to tell the tale.
Must be fluent in a South Indian language.
