Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or taking on your very first 48 Hour Film Project, this is your chance to write, shoot, edit, and premiere an original horror short film—all in one unforgettable weekend.

🎥 Premiere Screenings: October 17, 2026 – Watch every completed film on the big screen at Grace Street Theater (934 W. Grace Street, Richmond, VA) and vote for your favorites to win Audience Choice!

🏆 Best of RVA Horror Encore Screening & Awards Ceremony: October 25, 2026 – Return to Grace Street Theater as the top films screen one more time and we crown this year’s award winners—including Best Film, Audience Choice, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Original Music, and more.

The winning film will go on to represent Richmond at Filmapalooza in Curaçao in March 2027, where it will compete against 48 Hour Film Project winners from around the world for international honors.
