Prepare yourself for a cinematic adventure that starts in Richmond and transcends borders!

Four Richmond filmmaking teams accepted the challenge to compete against 103 global counterparts in the thrilling 48 Hour Film Project Yes We Cannes Global Film Competition, and to make a short film in just 48 hours given a required character, prop. line of dialogue, and genre revealed just before the clock starts ticking!

Join us at Bow Tie Movieland on Saturday, December 16 at 3 p.m. for an exclusive showcase of these cinematic marvels.

But wait, there’s more! After the screening, it’s your chance to be a judge! Audiences wield the power to crown their favorite Richmond film from the bunch! Then immerse yourself in the world behind the lens as filmmakers spill the secrets during a Q&A session.

These films have a chance to be selected as one of 15 that will grace the screen at Filmapalooza in Lisbon, Portugal come March 2024. But the journey doesn’t end there! The Top 8 films will strut their stuff at none other than the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner in May 2024, showcasing the pinnacle of creative prowess.
