MELVIN “MJ” GORDON, Jr. (MALE, AFRICAN-AMERICAN, AGE 21-30)*
A much more calm, mild-mannered version of Kyrie. He’s a wee-bit nerdy, but in a cute, funny way. He is where Kyrie gets his witty remarks and humor. He adores his girlfriend and the relationship that he has with those around him. He is loyal and committed to ensuring that those around him are taken care of; he will stop at nothing to make sure that everyone is secure and safe, even if that means he has to take a loss.

INDIA HUGHES (FEMALE, AFRICAN-AMERICAN, AGE 21-30)*
She is the girlfriend of MJ. She is very introverted and mild-mannered. She does not make a fuss unless she has to. She’s more likely to avoid her problems in the hopes that they’ll go away rather than to face them head on and deal with them accordingly. She has a strained relationship with her father and it is only exacerbated by the announcement of her and MJ moving in together.

JADA “JAY” JONES (FEMALE, AFRICAN-AMERICAN, AGE 18-21) *
She is the daughter of Frankie and bestfriend to Kyrie. She is not afraid to speak her mind and tell Kyrie if he is in the wrong – she only cares about honesty. She is fierce, but also can be introverted. She and Kyrie are childhood friends and each other’s confidant. She keeps Kyrie grounded in many ways. She is the sugar to his spice in essence. Though Jada has not had as much heartbreak and trauma as Kyrie, she has the ability to connect with him like no one else.

ZACH HARRIS (MALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE 30-40)
Zach is Isaiah’s older brother. He is a nice enough guy. He has not been very motivated to step out and take a risk to do what he really aspires to . His job as a police officer does not bring him the joy that it once did. The mundane daily schedule is only exacerbated when he allows his younger, less responsible and mature young brother live with him. Both Zach and Isaiah have strained relationships with their father.
