We are casting for King Caliban, a poetic, stageplay-on-film adaptation inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
Location: Virginia / Eastern Shore area
Shoot: 10/31/25 – 11/7/2025
Compensation: $300 stipend for paid roles + meals provided + credit
Cast
ROLES AVAILABLE:
King Caliban (Paid) – Black male, 20s–40s. Brawny, powerful, vulnerable. Carries the weight of ancestry. Speaks in poetic monologues. *Role will be physical. *Theatre training preferred.
Sycorax (Unpaid) – Black woman, 30s–60s. Radiant, maternal, spiritual presence. Appears as a guiding force. *1 day of work
We’re looking for actors open to theatrical performance style, comfortable with poetry and ritual on screen. Stage experience is a plus.
