Join the 7 ON YOUR SIDE team as an Investigative Associate Producer! WJLA-TV is looking for an enthusiastic contributor to the largest local investigative reporting team in DC.  The successful candidate will help the team identify story ideas to develop and will assist in research and field producing, including hidden-camera and surveillance operations. The candidate is also expected to have line-producing experience and will be responsible for producing a weekly 7 ON YOUR SIDE show and occasional news specials. Strong writing and social media skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

·  Line-produce weekly 7 ON YOUR SIDE show and occasional news specials

·  Ability to generate story ideas and determine legitimacy of viewer tips

·  Assist in researching, developing, and producing news stories on deadline

·  Assist in conducting hidden camera and surveillance operations

·  Contribute to 7 ON YOUR SIDE team projects and initiatives as assigned

·  Provide original ideas and assist with boosting the team’s social media profile
Required Experience and Skills:

·  Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a television news producer or reporter, to include newscast line-producing

·  Ability to work well in a face-paced environment

·  Strong writing skills

·  Strong news judgment
