DC – WIFV screening of TANGERINES – SEPT 27 – free admission

Georgian-Estonian co-production Zaza Urushadze’s Oscar nominated (2013) TANGERINES portrays a war in Abkhazia region of Georgia. As the hostilities erupt, an Estonian man stays behind to wait for his lucrative crop of tangerines. After a firefight he must care for two soldiers, each from opposing sides, who each vow to kill the other once they recover.

Georgian Embassy Movie Series is a joint Project of the Embassy of Georgia to the United States and the Georgian National Film Center. The project offers monthly screenings of Georgian classics and contemporary movies.
