Washington, DC is home to a community of highly skilled screenwriters. To draw attention to their talent and help get their work in front of major producers, writer and producer Monica Lee Bellais created the Spotlight on Screenwriters initiative, which culminated in a catalog featuring production-ready screenplays written by WIFV members.

Following the success of the first three volumes, Monica and WIFV are now launching programming for the 2017 catalogue. Spotlight on Screenwriters is made possible in part with the generous support of the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment (OCTFME) and Interface Media Group.
This workshop will focus on how to move forward in the script writing process. Spotlight on Screenwriters Editor-in-Chief Monica Lee Bellais and Managing Editor Hillary Shea discuss this ins and outs of the filmmaking industry.
