Position Summary
The Video Producer – Events/Foundation reports to the Associate Director of Video and is responsible for the production of branded videos and multimedia products for HRC’s events and Foundation projects. This position will help with the production of videos shown at HRC’s events nationwide and educational videos that reflect the programmatic work of our Foundation (Children, Youth, & Families, Workplace Equality, Religion & Faith, Health & Aging, etc.).
Position Responsibilities:
Storyboard, script, research, edit and produce video projects in support of HRC’s mission from conception to delivery, including shooting, editing, graphics, sound, and other post-production adjustments;
Research and maintain a library of discovered content (publicly available news clips, interviews, events footage, etc.);
Provide creative input and standards for video products as well as help to develop HRC’s event branding;
Create marketable videos to advertise and elevate the events and Foundation projects seen by our social media channels and national press;
Assist with livestreaming HRC events;
Along with other Events and Foundation staff, manage video project requests and help establish project timelines;
Adapt schedules and projects accordingly in a fast-paced, flexible work environment with multiple organizational priorities;
Work to streamline HRC’s editing and shooting process to create an efficient and seamless process from the beginning of a project to completion;
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required plus at least four years in video production.
Strong portfolio of video projects from concept to completion.
Willingness to act as a team player with a positive attitude, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and focus on follow-up.
Experience working in the field, troubleshooting equipment when necessary.
Experience using Adobe Premiere, PhotoShop, After Effects, Illustrator and Apple software and products.
Experience shooting with large format cameras with interchangeable lenses
Experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders, being calm under pressure, and managing a diversity of opinions on each project.
Strong skills with Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs and Drive), and social media.
Organized and detail oriented.
Flexibility with work schedule; this position requires frequent evening and weekend work.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Personal interest in and commitment to LGBTQ rights required.
Strong motion graphics skills preferred.
