Charlottesville & Richmond – Assistant needed for short film – Week of Oct. 23rd – Paid

Hello, I’m producing a short educational film about my enslaved ancestor, Matilda Lewis Threlkeld and historical truth-telling today. We have a great crew and a great director, Loria King. We’re in need of an assistant, African American preferred given the film’s subject matter. The assistant will be paid $15 per hour for 10 hours per day to post on social media, assist the crew and provide ideas and input. Most of the time we will be shooting in Charlottesville – including a community gathering and a classroom. We will also shoot ancestral lands and a couple of sites in Richmond and the surrounding area. The film is called CURRENT: Matilda’s American Journey West. You can learn more at currentfilm.org.
