Following Nearly Sold-Out Event, Indie Short Film Series Returns with Another Night of Award-Worthy Short Films
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Following the tremendous response to its late July installment, which came close to selling out, the Indie Short Film Series returns to Vinegar Hill Theatre on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with another evening of outstanding independent cinema from around the world.
The screening begins at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., at Vinegar Hill Theatre, 220 W. Market Street, Charlottesville, VA. Tickets are $20 and available now at https://isfsoct10.eventive.org

Audiences will experience a curated lineup of 7–10 exceptional domestic and international short films created by talented emerging and established filmmakers. Each installment of the series showcases compelling stories across a variety of genres and perspectives, offering moviegoers the opportunity to discover remarkable films they may never see anywhere else. Following the screenings, attendees are invited to stay for an engaging panel discussion featuring visiting filmmakers, providing a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about the creative process, production challenges, and the inspiration behind the films.
The previous installment attracted one of the largest audiences in the series’ history and nearly reached capacity, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for independent cinema in the Charlottesville community.
