Initial Contract: 8-to-12 weeks
The Teaching Company has a need for a creative Freelance Video Editor who can enhance long-form educational content with engaging visuals. Working toward a deadline under the direction of a Senior Producer, you are part of a team that includes graphics, intellectual property, and sound design.
Must be willing to work onsite in our Chantilly, VA office.
Major Responsibilities:
Enhance the studio-recorded content with supporting visuals – video, graphics and still images – demonstrating an eye for composition and technical consistency
Stay focused and creatively engaged through the delivery of a long-form production (average course is 12 to 18 hours)
Work independently and in cooperation with the production team
Work efficiently without sacrificing creativity
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Video Editor for a collaborative production facility
Proficient with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
Ability to ask questions, give opinions, independently problem solve, and take direction in a fast-paced production environment
MUST PROVIDE LINK TO DEMO REEL with editing and motion graphic/After Effects work examples on display
