Arlington – Casting call for monologue storytelling – april 9 – Paid

Title: Auditions in Arlington, VA for an AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE ACTOR for Monologue Storytelling About Involvement in the Criminal Justice System

Location: Arlington, VA (NEEDS TO BE LOCAL TO THE D.C. METRO AREA!!)

OAR (Offender Aid and Restoration) of Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church is seeking an African American male actor to perform a monologue storytelling of someone who has successfully been through OAR’s programs.

OAR (www.OARonline.org), founded in 1974, is a community-based nonprofit organization working with men and women returning to the community from incarceration and offering alternative sentencing options through community service to youth and adults.

We are seeking one African American male age 18+ to tell the story of someone who was previously incarcerated, who received OAR’s support, and is now thriving in the community. The monologue will be between 6-10 minutes in length. !! IMPORTANT !! We are only looking for individuals who are local to the D.C. Metro area!!

Performances will take place on Tuesday, April 9th at an event in Crystal City (Arlington, VA) in front of an audience of 600 community members, elected officials, and local leaders. You MUST be available on this date between 7:30am-9:00am.

Paid job. $150 will be paid at the conclusion of the performance on April 9th. Potential opportunities for other future performances, as well.
