Statewide – Roy W. Dean Short Film Grant – Deadline for Submission April 29 – Paid

Seeking short films that are unique and that make a contribution to society, the swiftly approaching submission deadline for the Roy W. Dean Short Film Grant is April 29th.  Now in its 4th year the grant, the grant offers the winner $3,000 and thousands more in donated services to help them complete their film.  

The grant is open to narrative fiction shorts, live action or animated, that are 40 minutes or less in length.   Grant is sponsored by top-rated 501(c)3 non-profit From the Heart Productions which is dedicated to helping independent filmmakers get their films funded.

In addition to the cash prize, the winner will also receive $3,000.00 in music and audio services from well-known composer David Raiklen, $6,000.00 in animation from Emmy award winner Charlie Canfield, $1,400 value (4 hours of sound mix session) from Silver Sound, $500 in grip, lighting or expendables from Filmtools, and $600.00 for your Free Closed Captioning by NetCaptioning.

Every applicant is offered the opportunity for a 15-minute consultation on their project Carole Joyce, Director of the Roy W. Dean Grants.  Filmmakers can get advice on how to fund their film, build up a database of donors, market their film, and more.
