STATEWIDE- BWE Media Festival-Open Now, Nov 24 Deadline-Fee

The BWE Media Festival® ​2021 (BMF21​®) has officially launched the start of its season with the opening of submissions for its film and music festival. The festival is now accepting Feature Film, Short Film, Episodic and Music Video submissions through November 24, 2020 in all categories. Official selections will be eligible for category awards and individual achievement awards during this inaugural year.

All submissions should include two (2) playable DVD copies of the submitted material along with an “entry sheet” that includes the following typed (if applicable): applicant name, company, phone number, address, email, title of material, runtime, type of presentation (feature, short, episodic, music video,) genre, credits (including musical credits,) and a written parental consent form for applicants under the age of 18. A synopsis of the material should also be included along with the application fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to “The BWE Media Networks.”

Early bird subimissions will be accepted for four weeks through September 29, 2020 ($20)

Regular submissions will be accepted the following four weeks through October 27, 2020 ($50)

Late submissions will be accepted the following four weeks through November 24, 2020 ($80)

All content must be owned by the applicant. Copyright material shall not be submitted unless written permission is attached to the “entry sheet,” secured with approval for broadcast.

Content produced or funded by a broadcast or cable network is ineligible to compete, however it may be submitted in consideration for a specialty screening.

International applicants should make sure content submitted by DVD is formatted for multi-zone or Zone 1 (North America.)

All foreign-language content must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

Additional press kit materials may be included, including trailers, stills, etc… but is not mandatory.

BMF21 aims to present the world the very best the film and music industries have to offer. Any material submitted to the festival may be used by The BWE Media Networks for promotion. Given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this years event of screenings, showcases and panel discussions will take place virtually online at thebwe.com during the entire month of January 2021. Festival goers will have the opportunity this year to screen content from the comfort and safety of their homes via the online platform.
