TOO MANY WOOKS IN THE LIBRARY
STORYLINE: After taking psychedelics, two friends are convinced they have reached enlightenment, but their cliched philosophies are exposed by the very ideals they wish to attain.
SEEKING:
FRAZIER: Male, early 20s, Caucasian. Having grown up in sheltered, affluent suburbia, FRAZIER is exposed, for the first time, to different thoughts, philosophies and r ealities in college. After a year of exploration, he quickly decides that college “isn’t worth it”, feeling he is just too smart for it and drops out. FRAZIER is charismatic, self-indulgent, nihilistic with an uncanny ability to justify his own flaws while having no tolerance in the flaws of others. He wants to be the pied piper, thinking that will keep him from being left out and calm his feelings of ostracization. Sneakily still being supported by his parents, his delusions of grandeur are epic and reckless. CULLEN is one of his few remaining friends.
Shoots 3 days – $150/day – Wednesday, June 13th, Thursday, June 14th, and Friday, June 15th 2018
CULLEN: Male, 18-22yrs old, Caucasian. Sweet, naive and gullible, CULL EN is in danger of failing out of school. On a constant journey to understand what life is about to find meaning for his own existence. Unfortunately, CULLEN’S world view is heavily influenced by his ridiculous friend FRAZIER and the psychedelic drugs they frequently take. He sees the good in things and respects the law. His friendship with FRAZIER gets him into uncomfortable situations, but their common quest for meaning, keeps CULLEN coming back to FRAZIER’s mad schemes.
Shoots 3 days – $150/day – Wednesday, June 13th, Thursday, June 14th, and Friday, June 15th 2018
IGGY: Male, 20-24yrs old, Caucasian. A life long friend of FRAZIER, who is about to graduate from college with a Sociology degree. Skeptical of FRAZIER’S immature philosophies. Open minded, but with a practical view on life.
Shoots 1 day – $125/day – Thursday, June 14th, 2018*
COWGIRL: Female, 35+ yrs old, Any Ethnicity. Serves as a symbol of Americana; an omnipresent figure who represents the culture but at the same time subverts it. Intelligence personified, striking with a shaman like presence. She is who FRAZIER wants to be. Must be comfortable smoking a cigar. Non-speaking on camera with extensive voice over.
