Richmond – Show your work event – November 12th – Free

The Richmond Film Network presents: Show Your Work, part of its Social Sundays lineup, on November 12 at 3 p.m. at The Camel, 1621 W. Broad St., Richmond.

Inspired by the book, Show Your Work: 10 Ways to Share Your Creativity and Get Discovered, by Austin Kleon in which he encourages creatives to, “Find one little piece of your process that you can share. If you’re in the very early stages, share your influences and what’s inspiring you. If you’re in the middle of executing a project, [share] your methods or share works in progress. If you’ve just completed a project, show the final product, share scraps from the cutting-room floor, or [share] what you learned.”

This is the focus of our November 12 Social Sundays event, which will feature:

Jourin Hannah – “Colors of Passion,” animated short
A triple play of drama, drugs and dysfunction.

Garrett Ludwig – “Art Theory,” dramatic short
An over-stressed corporate worker sees his world go dark after yelling at the sun.

Adam Roseberg – “Alphabetical Athleticalz,” animated short
A stop-motion animated exploration of all things sports from A to Z.

We hope to see you there!

Have something to show? Perhaps it’s a new monologue you’ve been working on for your audition reel? A few pages of script that you’ve written? A rough cut of your latest short film? Whatever it is, let us know! Shoot us an e-mail at info@richmondfilmnetwork.org of what you’d like to show to be considered for the next Show Your Work lineup!

Social Sundays are opportunities to meet and greet fellow creatives in film! Connect names with faces and socialize, network, celebrate accomplishments, and share project opportunities in a low stakes environment.
