Farewell to Pageantry

 

Storyline: During the moody after hours at a roadside motel, Jemima, a timid receptionist who yearns for adventure becomes an unwitting accomplice in the aftermath of a murder.

 

SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

 

JEMIMA: Any Ethnicity Female. Mid to late twenties. Small in stature, mousey and unmemorable, yet always willing to help. JEMIMA is the front desk receptionist of a rural Nebraska motel, with a secret passion. Financially strapped with no higher education, Jemima lacks the resources to better her circumstances. She does have the resources however to create a vivid fantasy world. By entering the guests’ rooms while they are away and trying on their lives, JEMIMA has found a way to escape her mundane existence. She wears their clothes, goes through their personal effects, reads their books, and imagines what their lives are like.

ROBIN: Any Ethnicity Female. Late thirties to early forties. Striking, stoic, calm and unforgettable. ROBIN is a murderess for hire, often posing as high class sex worker. A very successful lawyer, who tired of representing horrible people, guilty of terrible crimes. Vengefully, Robin has taken her beloved justice system into her own hands, ridding the world permanently of men she feels deserves to be killed, including those with death/murder fantasies. Unsettlingly confident, believing she is morally justified in carrying out her deeds and clever enough to get away with it. A mysterious enigma.

WARREN WALCOTT: Caucasian Male. 50s. Barrel chested and bombastic with a sweaty brow, whose power trip is eating him alive. The CEO of Walcott Entertainment, Inc. WARREN is arrogantly confident, with an abrasive personality. Having lied and cheated his way to the top, tearing down many people along the way, his guilt and self doubt are becoming unmanageable. Having grown despondent, and wanting to end things on his own terms before his empire crumbles, WARREN has a secret wish to be murdered by a beautiful woman.
