Richmond – RVA Filmmakers Showcase – Sept. 24 – Fee

The RVA Filmmakers Showcase, sponsored by the Richmond District of the Virginia Production Alliance, premieres this Sunday, September 24 at 7 pm and will feature short films by area filmmakers.

Richmond has a vibrant and exciting film community, and this showcase is an opportunity to see their work, followed by Q & A sessions. The evening will also include a 10-page script reading by an area screenwriter. The Showcase will end with an audience favorite award for the best film, which will screen on the Virginia Production Alliance’s online screening room.

 

Location: Visual Arts Center, 1812 West Main Street, Richmond, VA 23220

Time: Doors open at 6:30 for networking and the program begins at 7:00 pm.

Tickets: Admission is $5

 

The films that will screen this Sunday are:

The Magic Trick by Joe Carabeo. A wanna-be magician tries to use his magic to get a girl to smile.

The Reveal by Steve Ray. When money is involved where do your loyalties lie? All will be revealed in the end.

A Turn at His Grave by Dan Lee. A woman seeks guidance from a specter.

Justice by Chandler Perry. A guilt-stricken man hitches a ride with the last people with which he would ever want to share a ride.

Penumbra by Connor Gillooly. A man and woman find themselves trapped in a cycle of their own creation.

Life in 5 by Wendy Latella. From the womb to the next, a woman embraces all life has to offer and experiences the love of a lifetime.
