JANUARY PROGRAM

Presentation: Collaborative Intelligence with Salimah Ismail
An interactive session based on a framework developed by Dawna Markova and Angie MacArthur exploring how communication styles and working patterns shape collaboration—and where friction comes from. Learn practical tools for:

  • Directors & producers: leading and communicating across diverse teams
  • Crew: navigating personality and management dynamics
  • Writers: building consistent, believable character behavior

Salimah Ismail is a writer, leadership facilitator, and operations executive with 10+ years of experience leading teams across media, tech, and healthcare.

Check-Ins: Peer roundtables where participants briefly share what they’re working on, what support they need, and one clear goal for the month—building accountability, momentum, and community.

Can’t make January? Join us February 25, and/or submit a proposal to present at a future Cinema Collective.
