Due to the limited budget of this student project we are looking for those who are local to Richmond, Virginia.
Storyline:
Our quirky family is leaning into the awkward at a 90s JCPenney style family portrait session. It’s their first reunion as their son Adam is back from college. With close proximity and navigating uncomfortable poses, Dad decides to hand-feed the family members Ice Breakers mints to freshen their breath and “break the ice”.
Note: Comedy and improv experience a plus!
Open to twins, triplets, and real quirky families.
Seeking the following:
[MOM] 40-55, any ethnicity woman. Mom’s the glue, the reason we’re all here. She booked the session and picked the outfits. It means the world to her.
RATE: $125/DAY for [1] day
Must be comfortable with variations of awkward, close photos. Example pose: Heads stacked on top of each other, cheek to cheek, with Mom at the bottom of the pile. This is a ridiculously close-knit family. Very little personal space.
[DAD] 40-55, any ethnicity man. Dad loves quality family time, especially as his kids are growing up and one-by-one off to college. He’ll put these portraits in his wallet. Ice Breakers are his obsession. Always prepared with a pack to share.
RATE: $125/DAY for [1] day
Must be comfortable with variations of awkward, close photos. Example pose: Heads stacked on top of each other, cheek to cheek.
This is a ridiculously close-knit family. Very little personal space.
[SON] 18-22, any ethnicity man. A freshman in college, very happy with the new independence he’s been afforded living away from home. Two hours of squished poses in a stuffy, dull room is not his idea of fun, but he gets to bother his sister. Will turn anything into a game to pass time.

We are likely looking for two brothers. Twins welcome! Example pose: Heads stacked on top of each other, cheek to cheek.
Must be comfortable with variations of awkward, close photos. This is a ridiculously close-knit family. Very little personal space.
[DAUGHTER] 18-22, any ethnicity woman. Usually finds her brothers annoying, but is happy to see them. Knows that this portrait session is important to her mom.

[PHOTOGRAPHER] 32-42, any ethnicity man. Playful and inventive. He captures family and couple portraits day-in and day-out. Has endless ideas for poses, and a particular eye for the strange and unexpected ones to keep himself amused. Always willing to see what people will do. Think awkward, not creepy. This is a safe space.
RATE: $125/DAY for [1] day
