Storyline: Clyde, a lonely heart and owner of a wild game fine-dining restaurant, hides a dark secret – he’s a cannibal. Only his sister, Dani, who waits tables, knows. When a guest discovers Clyde’s love of Romantic-era art, she sets him up with her friend, Calliope, an expert in the field. Clyde sees the date as a chance to find out if Calliope shares his secret. When he learns she doesn’t, things take a dark turn as Calliope fights to avoid becoming the next course.

SEEKING

[CALLIOPE] 30s, any ethnicity, female. A lonely heart with dark and striking features who is an art historian/museum curator specializing in the work of Francisco Goya, specifically his Black Paintings series. She attends a blind date with Clyde at the suggestion of a friend. Her bright countenance and soft glow is in contrast to her field of expertise. She is a conundrum. No prosthetics, but there will be stage blood and the following choreographed fight scene with a qualified fight choreographer present. LEAD. $160/Shoot Day for five days, plus $20/day meal stipend & $20/day wardrobe stipend. $75 for 3 hr rehearsal. All interiors. Each shoot day is from 8 am-4 pm.

[CLYDE] 30s, any ethnicity, male. Cylde is a lonely heart with strikingly unforgettable features and a strong visual presence. He is also the old-fashioned and unassuming owner of a wild game restaurant who is secretly a cannibal. Like Calliope, he, too, is a fan of Goya–especially Saturn Devouring His Son. He hopes to find a dark match within her.

[DANI] Late 30s-early 40s, any ethnicity, female. Clyde’s older sister, and the only one who knows his secret, having caught him in the act. She is soft-spoken and has a unique raspy voice because one of her vocal cords was removed by Clyde to keep her silent. His intimidation tactics are ever present. The burden of keeping Clyde’s secret manifests physically, making her frail and weathered. She just might be finding the strength to foil her brother’s latest conquest. SUPPORTING. $160/Shoot Day for five days, plus $20/day meal stipend & $20/day wardrobe stipend. $75 for 3 hr rehearsal. All interiors. Each shoot day is from 8 am-4 pm.

Thank you in advance for your submission!
Submitting does not guarantee an audition: If selected, you will be contacted with an audition time and location. Every submission is thoughtfully considered.
